John Hines Director of Golf, Class "A" PGA Professional

John has had an auspicious career – that began at the age of 10 when he began caddying at the Harbor Hill Country Club, right here in Port Jefferson, Long Island. John continued in golf, playing through high school and into College at Flagler College in St. Augustine Florida. From there, John returned to Long Island to the First Assistant Pro position at the Colony Hill Golf Club. Honing his skills as a player, John was on the Hilton Head, North Florida, and Space Coast Mini-Tours for eight years through 1989.

In 1992, John, who is also an actor, landed a part in the movie "She Devil.” He appeared in three other smaller movies and finally stepped into a recurring role on the Soap Opera, "One Life to Live".

In 1994, John joined the staff of Fox Hill as an Assistant professional, and in 1997 took over the Head Professional responsibilities. John is the current course record holder with a 65 (-7).

Anthony Stalters Golf Course Superintendent

Anthony has been playing golf since he was 7 years old. He grew up on Long Island, where private courses and their lush appearances impressed him. By the time he was a teenager, he’d started caddying at the Huntington Country Club and he had decided on a career in Turf Grass Management. While attending the University of Massachusetts, he had the opportunity to intern at the Atlantic Golf Club in Bridgehampton for three seasons.

After graduation in 2000 he landed the head assistant position at the newly constructed East Hampton Golf Club. Determined to gain more experience and knowledge he worked as an assistant at St Andrews Golf Club in Yonkers, and then The Bridge in Bridgehampton.

Anthony was offered the head assistant position at Atlantic Golf Club in the winter of 2004. Over the next three years he sharpened his skills and set his sites on becoming a golf course superintendent.

In the fall of 2006 Anthony joined the staff at Fox Hill as Head Golf Course Superintendent.
